The farms are mainly dedicated to fish rearing breeding with the help of advanced technology in order to create an ecological as well as a profitable research-oriented organization.

When the Sugarcane Feeds Center, Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries introduced aquaculture in Trinidad it was mostly based on the traditional  pond-culture.
