Kent Farms Limited
Kent Farms Limited is an aquaculture and farming entity incorporated in 2005 in Trinidad and Tobago. This company was established to develop and provide a 360-degree professional approach and commitment as well as good corporate administration to the integrated farming entity. We have utilized our experience and skills in the field of farming, fishery, and poultry and transformed the institute into an ecological as well as a profitable research-oriented organization. The first farm is stretched across 10 acres sited at 4 ½ MM Freeport Todds Road, Freeport. The farm is established in order to develop a means of building on the existing operation which has produced a significant outcome. As a result, we were able to expand our operational area across another 48 acre plot from Caroni (1975), Limited orange estate located in the Todd’s Road area. Along with that, a 40 acre farm dedicated to aquaculture is acquired in Orange Grove. The other two farms, a letter of offer for lease of 30 years has been presented. Our future prospects include utilization of wind power to advance towards making Kent Farms Limited a zero-footprint farm in Trinidad. With the help of science, we are planning to combine the traditional pond-culture with the advanced technologies to build the most eco-friendly, innovative and profitable aquaponic farm.

EVOLUTION ERA OF KENT FARMS LTD
We always had aquaculture as a part of our vision while forming the Kent Farms Ltd. Although at the beginning we were more focused on crops but later we chose aquaculture .
We have also established a poultry production system for growth and expansion. Our aim and objective is to reach a stage where the entire process of rearing, breeding and harvesting becomes the most eco-friendly and Kent Farms Ltd becomes the first farm with Zero ecological footprint in Trinidad and Tobago. For agriculture, we have managed to successfully install a circulatory system where the crops are grown with the help of the waste from the fish and not via any synthetic input. The flooring of the poultry pens has been made sand-covered Deep litter Media which makes it way cleaner and have a lot of other benefits. Apart from being natural dry and clean it also works as a better compost. It has also proved itself to be comfortable for the chicken, maintains perfect temperature and it is easy to clean up. It also helps in developing a microbial population which plays an essential part in farming. We have also recently looked into the utilization of kinetic energy produced by wind as an opportunity to move forward towards the goal of becoming a zero-footprint farm in Trinidad and Tobago. At Kent Farms, we are trying to blend the advanced technologies to the Pond-culture and form something ecological, innovative and profitable at the same time.
